We are currently partnering with a leading private markets investment platform seeking to hire an Analyst into its Venture Debt team in London. The team is actively deploying its second fund and provides growth debt financing to high-growth UK and European technology businesses, with a particular focus on software and IP-rich companies. This is an opportunity to join a lean, highly collaborative investment team with significant exposure and responsibility from day one. The successful candidate will work closely with senior investors across the full investment lifecycle, gaining direct exposure to founders, management teams, financial sponsors and institutional investors.
Responsibilities will include:
- Screening and assessing new investment opportunities
- Financial modelling and covenant analysis
- Drafting indicative terms and investment papers
- Supporting due diligence and execution processes
- Portfolio monitoring and reporting
- Attending meetings with management teams and investors
- Assisting with broader fund strategy and ecosystem coverage across the UK and Europe
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1–3 years’ experience in a relevant environment such as M&A, leveraged finance, debt advisory, consulting, accountancy or investing
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and commercial judgement
- A genuine interest in technology and growth-stage businesses
- The ability to operate autonomously within a fast-paced environment
Prior venture debt experience is not required. The role offers a strong learning environment, broad deal exposure and the opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing areas within the European private capital market.
