The Opportunity

An established alternative finance lender is looking to appoint a Client Executive to join its team in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious relationship-focused professional who enjoys working directly with SME clients, building strong partnerships, and supporting businesses with tailored funding solutions. You'll play a key role in managing and developing client relationships across a diverse portfolio.

The Role

Working closely with Relationship Managers and senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to existing clients while identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and support future growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of SME clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication.
  • Supporting clients throughout the lifecycle of their funding facilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase utilisation and introduce additional products where appropriate.
  • Liaising with internal teams including underwriting, operations and risk.
  • Managing client reviews, renewals and facility amendments.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Supporting Relationship Managers with portfolio growth initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate records and client documentation.

About You

  • Experience in a relationship management, account management or customer-facing role within financial services.
  • Exposure to commercial finance, asset finance, invoice finance, business lending or alternative lending environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
