I'm working exclusively on behalf of a well-funded, ambitious specialist property lender looking to appoint a

Head of Sales to help drive the next phase of its growth.

This is a newly created opportunity to join a business with a clear strategy, an exceptional leadership team and the financial backing to deliver on its ambitious plans.

Already highly respected within the specialist lending market, the business is now scaling, making this a role that offers significant long-term career progression.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. They're looking for a true player-manager —someone who still loves getting out in the market, meeting brokers, attending networking events and developing new relationships, whilst leading and inspiring an internal sales team.

You'll initially manage a small team of Internal Business Development Managers, coaching them to maximise performance while remaining highly visible externally, managing your own portfolio of key broker relationships and acting as a role model for sales excellence.

As the business continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a team of field-based Business Development Managers, giving you real influence over the future shape of the sales function.

The Role

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Internal BDMs, creating a high-performance sales culture.
  • Maintain and grow your own network of brokers, introducers and key industry contacts.
  • Represent the business at networking events, exhibitions and broker meetings across the UK.
  • Drive new business whilst strengthening existing broker relationships.
  • Work closely with Credit, Operations and the senior leadership team to ensure an outstanding broker experience.
  • Help shape sales strategy and play a key role in the firm's continued expansion.
  • Recruit and develop a field-based BDM team as the business grows.

About You

  • Significant experience within

Bridging Finance, Development Finance or Specialist Property Lending .

  • An established network of broker relationships across the specialist lending market.
  • Previous leadership or people management experience, whether leading Internal BDMs, External BDMs or intermediary sales teams.
  • A genuine passion for business development—you enjoy being in front of brokers and building long-term relationships.
  • Commercially driven with the credibility to influence at senior level.
  • Someone who leads from the front and sets the standard through their own sales behaviours.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well-capitalised lender with an outstanding reputation, a first-class leadership team and a genuine commitment to growth.

You'll have the autonomy to make a real impact, the backing to succeed and the opportunity to grow your own career as the business continues to expand.
