Are you a confident Credit Controller with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to managing client relationships? Our client, a growing alternative finance provider based in Didsbury, is looking for an experienced professional to join their close-knit operations team.

The Role
As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing client accounts, ensuring smooth cashflow, and maintaining strong relationships with borrowers and their customers. You’ll be responsible for verifying invoices, ensuring payment terms are adhered to, minimising debtor days, identifying risks early and resolving disputes, and supporting the wider operations and risk teams to maintain portfolio quality. This is a full-time, permanent, office based role, with 1 day a week working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day credit control for a portfolio of clients
- Liaise with client debtors to ensure timely payments and resolve disputes
- Monitor debtor ledgers and escalate potential issues promptly
- Work closely with the Operations and Risk teams to identify and mitigate potential credit risks
- Produce regular reports on aged debt and cash collection performance
- Build strong relationships with clients and maintain excellent customer service standards
About You
- 2+ years' experience in credit control
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Confident working with financial systems and Excel
