This is an opportunity to join a growing, privately funded specialist property lender that has earned an outstanding reputation within the bridging finance market by doing things differently.

Specialising in residential, semi-commercial and commercial bridging finance, the business combines experienced, commercial decision-making with exceptional service and a relationship-first approach.

With the ability to move quickly, make sensible lending decisions and offer an innovative in-house valuation process with no valuation fees, they've created a proposition that brokers genuinely value.

As lending volumes continue to grow, they're looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager.

The role can be home-based from anywhere in the UK, although you'll need to be able to travel to the South Manchester head office from time to time for team meetings, training and collaboration.

This is a role for someone who enjoys developing long-term broker relationships, identifying opportunities and writing quality business.

You'll have the autonomy to manage your region, supported by an experienced underwriting team that understands the importance of speed, communication and finding solutions.

The Opportunity

This is more than simply covering a postcode.

You'll be joining an ambitious lender with significant growth plans, where experienced Business Development Managers are trusted to build their own strategy, develop key introducer relationships and maximise lending opportunities.

With a genuinely differentiated proposition and direct access to decision-makers, you'll spend more time winning business and less time battling internal process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with bridging finance brokers.
  • Generate new lending opportunities while growing existing intermediary relationships.
  • Structure complex bridging transactions and present opportunities to the underwriting team.
  • Promote the lender's specialist proposition, including its commercial approach, fast decision-making and unique in-house valuation process.
  • Work closely with underwriters to deliver a responsive, seamless experience from enquiry through to completion.
  • Represent the business at broker meetings, networking events and industry functions.
  • Deliver strong lending volumes while maintaining exceptional service standards.

About You

You’ll already have experience within the specialist property finance market and understand what brokers value.

You’ll ideally have

  • A successful track record as a Business Development Manager within bridging finance or specialist property lending.
  • An established broker network capable of generating quality lending opportunities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to structure complex transactions.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A self-motivated approach with the drive to develop and grow your territory.
