We have a really exciting opportunity for recent graduates to join an established Commercial Finance lender. The business specialises in the provision of fast, flexible and tailored funding solutions to SMEs in the UK to help support them with cashflow.
We’re looking for a driven, curious and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join their high‑performing team. You’ll work closely with the experienced Business Development Managers, supporting them on live deals, shadowing on meetings, and gaining hands‑on exposure to the full lending lifecycle. This is a role for someone who is commercially minded, personable, has good financial acumen and is hungry to learn by doing, and you will be provided with guidance, mentorship and development every step of the way. This is an immediate role and we are looking for someone who can start ASAP.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the BDM team on active deals, from initial enquiry through to completion
- Occasional shadowing on meetings, to assist on deal submission
- Preparing high‑quality documentation, reports and deal summaries
- Liaising with brokers, accountants, and internal teams to keep deals moving
- Managing inbound enquiries and helping qualify opportunities
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and supporting pipeline management
- Attending client meetings, networking events and introducer visits alongside BDMs
- Learning the fundamentals of commercial lending, risk assessment and structuring
- Contributing ideas, energy and commercial insight to help the team win more business
What we’re looking for:
- Any financial/business related degree with strong commercial awareness
- Ideally 1-2 years experience
- Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships
- Naturally curious, proactive and eager to learn
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Hard-working, proactive individual
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- A team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
- Interest in business development
- Full driving license is required for the role - this role is office based in Manchester but there will be the occasional client visit required
