Our client is a new Business Loans Lender looking to launch in the UK at the end of 2025, specialising in offering tailored and flexible business loans for UK SMEs. This is a highly unique opportunity to join them as their Business Development Manager to lead the charge in building out their broker channel and executing new lending opportunities. You’ll be the face of the new lender brand to the broker market and will build, nurture, and activate relationships driving deal flow, educating partners, and ensuring their proposition stands out.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with commercial finance brokers to drive deal flow
  • Deliver training, product updates, and deal support to maximise engagement and conversion
  • Identify new broker partnerships and onboard them effectively
  • Work closely with underwriting and credit teams to ensure smooth deal progression
  • Attend industry events, networking sessions, and broker roadshows to raise brand awareness
  • Provide market feedback to shape product development and pricing strategy
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience in broker-facing BDM roles within commercial lending, ideally in the business loans space
  • Existing broker network
  • Strong understanding of SME lending, deal structuring, and credit appetite
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing own schedule
