Having recently completed a significant funding round, we now have a fantastic opportunity to join them as their UK Chief Risk Officer. You will be responsible for leading the small existing team as well as being hands-on with managing UK credit and operational risk, developing credit risk policies and ensuring the business is operating within risk appetite. Responsibilities include: Oversee and develop risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to operational and financial activities. Ensure compliance with local regulations to minimise exposure to risk. Support incident management processes for timely resolution of client issues. Develop and implement tactical operational strategy programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives. Ensure overall delivery and quality of offerings to customers while optimising processes. Work collaboratively with wider business groups and other Heads from other regions. Manage the operational budget and allocate resources effectively. Team management and future growth. Experience/skills required: Proven management experience within the Commercial Finance, Commercial Lending, Fintech or Commercial Banking sectors. Deep understanding of UK market dynamics, including regulatory frameworks, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Risk management expertise - understanding of risk management principles and operational oversight. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling informed decision-making in complex and rapidly changing environments. Team player, willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in where necessary.
