A leading independent Invoice Finance lender is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join its Manchester office as part of its continued growth across the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-led banking or commercial finance professional to manage a portfolio of around 60 small business clients from a desk-based environment, supporting SMEs with tailored working capital solutions including Invoice Finance, Factoring, and Confidential Invoice Discounting facilities.

The business has built a strong reputation for flexibility, fast decision-making, and delivering outstanding service to SMEs across a broad range of sectors.

The Role
  • Managing a portfolio of approximately 60 small business Invoice Finance clients in a predominantly desk-based Relationship Management role
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for SME clients, building strong long-term relationships remotely
  • Conducting regular telephone and video review meetings with clients
  • Monitoring facility performance, risk, and client utilisation
  • Working closely with Operations, Risk, and Business Development teams
  • Identifying opportunities to increase facility usage and retain clients
  • Supporting deal onboarding and ensuring smooth client implementation
  • Building relationships with introducers including brokers and accountants where appropriate
About You
  • Experience within Invoice Finance, Asset Based Lending, Commercial Banking, or SME Lending
  • Previous Relationship Management, Client Management, or Portfolio Management experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Factoring and Invoice Discounting facilities
  • Comfortable operating in a desk-based, service-led relationship management role
  • Commercially aware with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to effectively manage a high-volume client portfolio
  • Knowledge of the North West market would be advantageous
