Your role: Legal Counsel, Regulatory Location: London Your day-to-day: Acting as an advisor for regulatory matters impacting the business Advising on ongoing compliance with applicable, laws, regulations and guidance, including PSD2, EMD, MICA, outsourcing guidelines Horizon scanning to monitor changes to laws and regulations that may impact the business Engaging with industry bodies as required Preparing regulatory notifications and filings Delivering legal education for the business through bespoke training and raising awareness Supporting the wider legal team to provide efficient and effective legal support to the business Ad hoc legal and regulatory tasks. The ideal candidate will have the following: UK qualified solicitor with 2-6 years post-qualification experience (gained either within private practice or in-house) Technical knowledge of UK and EEA payment services and e-money regulations Regulatory advice supporting company growth and delivery of strategic projects Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to safeguarding, outsourcing, operational resilience, wind-down planning Advice on the regulatory perimeter Ability to explain complicated legal concepts in a way that is understandable to business stakeholders in both written and oral communications.
