A fast-growing FinTech organisation is looking for an experienced Data Analytics Specialist for a 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in strengthening fraud-prevention capabilities and helping shape risk strategy across the business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll use data-driven insights to support business decisions, investigate fraud patterns and ensure proactive monitoring of emerging risks.
Duties include:
- Analyse user and behavioural data to spot emerging fraud patterns
- Build and enhance dashboards that bring fraud trends and KPIs to life for key stakeholders
- Investigate fraud incidents and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Partner with Risk, Security, and Product teams to drive fraud-prevention initiatives
- Stay ahead of industry fraud trends, tools and techniques to support strategic decision-making
Experience required:
- Experience in a fraud / financial crime data analytics role in financial services / fintech
- Strong SQL skills for querying data
- Experience of Python - advantageous
- Experience using data visualisation / reporting tools e.g. Tableau
- Understanding of statistical methods and how to apply them to real-world fraud problems
