FinTech Global, a leading provider of news, research and events in the FinTech & InsurTech sector, is looking to hire ambitious journalists to join its team of news reporters and researchers. The opportunity would suit a reporter with at least one year’s experience in journalism, ideally within tech or finance, who is keen to immerse themselves in a specialist reporting area and work to become a leading authority within the FinTech and InsurTech sector.

We’re currently looking for full‑time reporters to support our FinTech, RegTech and InsurTech websites.

  • Sourcing and writing extensive daily news stories
  • Creating daily and weekly newsletters
  • Conducting interviews with senior industry leaders
  • Assisting clients to create thought‑leadership articles and whitepapers
  • Promoting their work via social media to build their professional reputation as well as that of the company
  • Developing relationships with the most senior decision‑makers and thought‑leaders in the FinTech industry
  • Working with the conference team, attending industry conferences hosted by FinTech Global and meeting and supporting clients face‑to‑face

Candidates should come in brimming with ideas about how to build and guide the website’s future – specific expertise in the FinTech space is welcomed, though not essential, with successful applicants displaying an eagerness to get to grips with the sector and build a network with top industry players. Applicants must have a university or post‑grad qualification in journalism and/or proven experience as a news reporter.

The Rewards

The work is based in our office in the City of London. Our team works in the office 3 days a week and from home 2 days a week. You will join a very sociable and dynamic team at our vibrant central London office, which includes large communal spaces, games room, free tea, coffee, snacks, beer, Friday lunches, external social networking events as well as regular team social events. The company supports relevant training courses that enhance professional skills development after 18 months of employment. A competitive salary is boosted by 25 days vacation plus 8 national holidays each year. After two years, holiday entitlement increases each year. The future upside for responsibility, promotion and remuneration are outstanding.
