This role is based in our office 5 Howick Place London. FinTech Futures is the leading global provider of independent intelligence and insight for professionals in the fintech sector. With over 40 years of experience, we are a trusted resource for thousands of professionals, from banks and financial institutions to technology providers. Our platform delivers timely and comprehensive coverage, offering the latest news, in‑depth analysis, and emerging trends across key sectors including FinTech, BankingTech, PayTech, RegTech, WealthTech, and LendTech.
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to join our team, specializing in driving business growth within the FinTech sector. The role will involve supporting the Sales team in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to the overall strategic direction.
- Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities within the FinTech industry
- Help develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue goals
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including agencies, vendors, and sponsors
- Research and identify potential clients for awards shows throughout the year
- Create compelling proposals and pitches for prospective clients in collaboration with marketing and sales teams
- Develop relationships with potential customer groups in FinTech and Financial Services industries
- Network and generate leads at industry events and conferences
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to spot opportunities for innovation and growth
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, preferably in publishing or events
- Strong understanding of sales principles and negotiation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (like Salesforce)
- Independent working style while thriving in a team environment
- Flexibility to travel and attend events as needed
