As a Business Lead in Collections, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of collection strategies to optimize recoveries. You will build and lead a high-performance team, ensuring compliance with regulations while enhancing customer experience and business performance.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and implement collection strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize recoveries.
- Create and manage a high-performance collection team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team goals are met.
- Collaborate with product, customer service, and finance teams to address customer credit concerns and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate delinquency rates, identifying trends and recommending adjustments to collection strategies as needed.
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations related to credit collection and ensure compliance in all collection activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, legal advisors, and credit reporting bureaus to enhance collection capabilities.

Your Experience
- At least 5+ years of practical experience in collections, including 2+ years in a managerial position at a retail bank or collection agency.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing debt collection strategies and achieving debt collection goals.
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of credit scoring models, financial analysis, and risk management is a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant local and international regulations governing credit collection practices in consumer lending.
- Fluency in English.
