FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for ground Solar Installers for commercial projects based in Scotland and across the UK for continuing projects. We are looking for Solar PV Installers, employed directly by a solar energy business on a contracting day rate plus company vehicle provided as required. Rates are negotiable by experience. Varying levels of experience in solar installations will be considered. Further training & development given where required. There will be various ongoing contracts throughout the UK and you will be required to travel and on occasions be away from home. Travel expenses and accommodation arranged by the company. You will be working as part of a team for project completions.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in planning and installing photovoltaic ground mounted systems delivering solar power
  • Setting out and mounting systems and installing panels
  • Conduct site assessments to determine best installation practices
  • Using hand tools to complete installations
  • Adhere to safety regulations
  • Read and interpret technical drawings is an advantage (not an essential)

Skills and Experience required for the Groundwork PV Solar Installer:

  • Experience in ground solar PV installations
  • Hold a CSCS card
  • Have a strong mechanical and good electrical background or basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in solar PV installation on ground mounted solar systems
  • Familiar with a range of brands and types of panels, mountings and inverters
  • Hold a UK driving licence
