FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment in seeking an Engineering Sales Team Manager, working for an international business. This is a permanent position with a salary of up to £65,000 based in South Derbyshire. You will have both sales and team leadership qualities from working within an engineering/rail/manufacturing work environment. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00 am to 16:30 pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break) and Friday 08:00 am to 13:30 pm (no lunch break).
Responsibilities:
- Be the technical authority for customer projects, ensuring compliance.
- Lead the project sales engineering team, delivering technically sound solutions and being cost effective.
- Supervise technical proposal development and lead on department management activities, including budgets, resources, and staff development.
- Engage and build strong relationships with customers, providing solutions.
- Oversee project management functions, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Support product and system improvements, including pre-studies and validation processes.
- Ensure compliance in line with industry regulations and company policies.
Skills and Experience required for the Engineering Sales Team Manager role:
- MSc degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical engineering).
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in the rail industry desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of rail products and project sales engineering.
- Ability to lead and develop teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and resource planning.
- A customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach.
