FINTEC recruit is seeking a Field Service Engineer, based in Aberdeenshire. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with travel time door to door within your working week. Salary is £34,850 plus bonus, paid after probation, pension, plus call out allowance plus overtime paid at enhanced rates. When required to work away from home accommodation is organised by the company and there is an additional overnight & meal allowances paid. The role requires a UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Aberdeenshire as well as other areas of the UK on occasions when required for business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance & attend reactive breakdowns/repair work
- Diagnose & carry out repairs to medical/health equipment (moving & handling equipment)
- Involved in the install process, survey sites/rooms and carry out pre-install surveys
- Installation and commissioning of fixed equipment, such as floor mounted hoists & ceiling mounted equipment etc
- Daily reports for internal and for clients; feedback on any recommendations following customer visits.
Skills and Experience required for the Field Service Engineer:
- Multi-skilled engineering with knowledge/experience of Mechanical engineering and electrical or electronics.
- Hold a full UK driving licence, willingness to travel daily within Aberdeenshire region and work away from home on occasions
- Knowledge of building and construction and an understanding of installation methods for medical equipment, full training given
- Experience in fault finding and repair
- Good communication skills as direct contact liaison contact for customers.
