Exciting opportunity for a Marine Project Manager to join our well-established Marine Engineering client based in Newcastle. Operating within the engineering sector, delivering complex projects with a focus on MOD and contractual engagements. Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Manage contractual obligations and liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure contractual compliance.
- Oversee project planning, risk management, and resource allocation to meet project milestones.
- Ensure all projects adhere to MOD and other contractual standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and facilitate smooth project execution.
- Prepare and manage project documentation and progress reports for senior management and clients.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of contracts management, specifically related to MOD projects.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrable understanding of engineering principles and standards.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in project or contract management, preferably within defence, marine, or shipbuilding sectors.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP).
