Maintenance Department Engineer required. This is a permanent position with a salary up to £51,460 plus a performance bonus structure, benefits, and contributory pension scheme. Relocation assistance where relevant. Working Monday to Friday 07:30 a.m. to 16:00, early finish on Fridays at 12:30 p.m.
Leading support engineering maintenance projects across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reactive maintenance while meeting H&S and environmental standards.
- Contribute to the development of the weekly maintenance schedule.
- Write and review policies and procedures, able to conduct HSEQ activities as required, ensuring written isolation procedures are followed.
- Manage the trade and apprentice workforce in your area.
- Identify changing/new engineering standards/legislation which require site action/compliance.
- Instil a reliability focused culture within direct reports and the maintenance function – Leading on reliability projects using recognised lean principles.
- Provide support and training for the team to diagnose and fault find equipment failures.
- Support the Engineering team on new equipment installation, providing long-term maintenance input.
- Provide support and training to diagnose and fault find equipment failures, coaching for the maintenance team.
Skills and Experience:
- Engineering maintenance knowledge, in a heavy engineering environment (Mechanical bias).
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation.
- HNC or above in an engineering discipline, demonstrable experience & willingness to commit to further studies.
- Knowledge of industrial scale process plant operations and maintenance, including related standards, codes of practice and technical procedures.
- People management / coaching / mentoring of engineering staff.
- Experience working in a COMAH environment desirable.
