FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for a permanent role for a Quality Manager based in Southampton, salary up to £65,000 depending on experience, plus benefits, joining a small team, working within an engineering and fabrication environment. Career progression in working for a growing business specialising in design, manufacture and install of pressure vessels, for international projects.
Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance for pipework and pressure vessels
- Key role for QA across the business units
- Compliance of pipework and pressure vessel codes including ASME B31.3, ASME VIII, PD 5500
- To maintain technical documentation, ITPs, CE/UKCA/PED compliance and CPR
- Input on welding standards (ASME IX/BS 15614)
Skills and experience for the Quality Manager role:
- Experience in pipework fabrication and pressure vessel manufacturing
- Hands on experience with ASME B31.3
- Solid understanding of PED, CE/UKCA, CPR and compliance
- Experience of working within a workshop/fabrication environment
- Working knowledge of ASME VIII, PD5500, welding standards, ITPs and QA systems
- Confident producing documentation, reviewing drawings, and ensuring code compliance on the shop floor
