Operations Director

FINTEC recruit is recruiting for an Operations Director for our client based in Cornwall. You will require experience in FMCG, preferably in the food industry . This is a permanent position with a salary negotiable based on experience, in the range of £80,000 to £100,000 plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Providing strategic and operational leadership to ensure effective processes, production, and new product development meeting company targets.
2. Driving continuous improvement to elevate facilities and operations.
3. Developing and leading production, process, and engineering teams, providing instruction, training, supervision to Managers & Supervisors, and identifying talent within teams.
4. Achieving KPIs, maintaining company standards, and driving performance through optimized operations and quality improvements.
5. Monitoring raw material yields, efficiency, and wastage reduction.
6. Evaluating capital investment plans and creating a pipeline of industry-leading opportunities.
7. Ensuring compliance with technical systems, including identification, discussion, and resolution with the Technical Manager.
8. Maintaining Food Hygiene, HACCP, GMP, and customer standards.
9. Serving as the ultimate H&S duty holder for sites, with delegated responsibilities in line with policies and procedures.
10. Conducting regular staff appraisals, setting KPIs for performance and development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in an engineering or general management role within FMCG manufacturing, specifically in food operations.
• Degree qualified or equivalent by experience.
• Health and Safety qualification relevant to FMCG.
