Engineering Director
for a new and exciting opportunity in the UK.
This permanent role works remotely with travel around the UK.
The salary is up to £125k plus benefit and a bonus package.
About the role
We\’re looking for a hands-on
Engineering Director
to lead technical direction for HV/EHV OHTL projects across the region.
This high-visibility role works directly with utilities, EPCs, and senior stakeholders to shape system upgrades and capacity updates.
Responsibilities
Lead technical design + analysis for OHTL projects
Work with utilities to solve complex engineering challenges
Support BD with senior-level technical input
Develop concepts, feasibility studies, and proposals with global teams
Evaluate pilot projects (modelling, optimisation, risk)
Review designs, reports, and specs
Act as regional technical owner — pathway to
Regional CTO/Chief Engineer
Skills and Experience
Strong HV/EHV OHTL design experience
Ability to define problems + deliver robust solutions
Hands-on design mindset, not purely management
Clear communicator in senior utility meetings
