FINTEC recruit is looking for an ILS Supportability Engineer/Reliability Engineer for our international engineering/subsea client based near Glasgow. This is a permanent position, hybrid working on offer, salary in the £45,000 to £55,000 plus benefits eg contributory pension/medical cover etc. You will be providing support across the wider engineering teams through the full lifecycle engineering for products including design/development of products. Working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Production & sales across the business in achieving best practice and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing project obsolescence risk registers for reviews, technical notes, change proposals etc
  • Manage system data reporting, analysis and corrective action systems
  • Provide failure mode effects and critical analysis, identifying areas for improvement
  • Chair review meetings with customers and stakeholders, producing regular reports on project obsolescence and ILS statistics & providing ILS insight
  • Upkeep of ILS documentation, including supportability case reports, In-Service Reliability & Maintainability Case Records & integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Management Plans
  • Delivery through-life support for projects, assisting with technical queries in providing engineering solutions, working closely with suppliers

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or have relevant industry experience
  • Post grad or professional qualified such as chartered status desirable (not essential)
  • Previous ILS experience with experience of product lifecycle management systems for generating & storage of engineering packages
  • Any previous experience of working on submersibles an advantage (not an essential)
  • Experience of mobilising/de-mobilising equipment an advantage
  • Familiar with ISO standards and an understanding of ILS standards eg. Def Stan 00-600
  • Knowledge of regulatory bodies (class standards, (LR DNV, National Standards, IMCA), ship specifications/submersible vehicles etc
  • Hold a clean UK driving licence
