FINTEC recruit is recruiting for a Marine Engineering Operations Manager for our client based in Gosport. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role offering a salary negotiable depending on experience. The role would suit an experienced marine operations professional with strong mechanical and electrical technical knowledge.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing marine engineering operations across vessel maintenance, refit, repair and engineering projects. This role involves ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget while working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day marine engineering operations and project delivery.
- Oversee planning, budgets, tenders, cost control and operational performance.
- Coordinate resources across operations, procurement, logistics and supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry, Class and Flag State Authority requirements.
- Build effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality vessel maintenance and refit projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Marine mechanical and electrical technical knowledge.
- Operations management experience within dry dock, ship repair, vessel maintenance, refit or marine engineering.
- Experience working with Defence and/or Commercial marine clients.
- Knowledge of Class and Flag State Authority standards.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness, including budgets, tenders and cost control.
