FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment for an Electrical Engineer SAP. This is a permanent role with salary up to circa £90,000 plus benefits. The base is in Essex; there will be some travel within the region.
You will be overseeing safe operations for electrical equipment, carrying out risk assessments and switching surveys. You will be the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for electrical systems at 11kv or above.
Responsibilities:- Team leadership for operatives and technical staff, mentor and guide when onsite.
- Deliver programmes ensuring electrical safety and compliance meeting safety regulations and industry electrical standards.
- SAP, senior authorised person for electrical systems at 11kv or above.
- Manage isolations, restorations, network back feeding or connecting generation when required.
- Issuing permits to work, sanction for test and limitations of access where applicable.
- Conduction & input with thorough risk assessments and method statements for electrical work.
- Maintain accurate records for all electrical work eg safety documentation, asset registers, inspection reports etc.
- Carry out regular inspections and audits of new electrical installations and maintenance.
- BTEC HNC Electrical Qualification as a Minimum (preferred).
- Hold a current Senior Authorised Person (SAP) accreditation on 11Kv networks at minimum.
- Previously held senior authorisation status within a distribution network operator environment (connections-related preferred).
- EUSR SHEA (Power/other as required).
- Have a sound understanding of relevant Distribution Networks, safe working practices and Distribution Safety Rules.
- Knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, Distribution Code, connections code of practice, host DNO policy & procedures.
- Team leadership.
- UK Driving Licence.
