A leading global luxury consumer brand is seeking an interim Accounts Receivable Accountant to support wholesale and e‑commerce operations. The role will manage day‑to‑day receivables, reconciliations and cash allocation, while also contributing to an upcoming ERP implementation as the AR lead where required.
Responsibilities
- Own day‑to‑day accounts receivable operations across wholesale and e‑commerce including cash application, invoice posting, credit notes, returns and customer account maintenance.
- Reconcile third‑party payment providers end to end from order to cash, including merchant fee recognition and investigation of variances.
- Maintain customer master data within the ERP, ensuring strong controls, compliance and data accuracy.
- Manage cash allocation, resolve exceptions and aged balances, and partner with Credit Control to support timely collections.
- Complete daily, weekly and month‑end balance sheet reconciliations across receivables, merchant clearing, refunds and cash accounts.
- Prepare month‑end schedules and AR performance reporting, including DSO and unapplied cash, supporting management accounts and bad debt provisions.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial, Customer Services, Ecommerce and IT to ensure accurate order‑to‑cash processes and minimise customer friction.
About You – Accounts Receivable Accountant
- 3+ years’ experience working in a high‑volume, e‑commerce retail organisation.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots, SUMIFs).
- Confident working with large data sets and reconciliations.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash processes across wholesale and e‑commerce.
- Detail‑focused, process‑driven and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
