Senior QA / Test Analyst – ESG – Investment Management – London

Our client is a leading fund / asset management business with a significant presence in the UK and a growing footprint in Europe. On their behalf, we are looking for an experienced QA professional with data testing and automation skills for their ESG stream. The role will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of the firm’s critical business applications. The role is hands-on but will be part of the senior echelon within the QA function, supporting the head of coaching and leading the team.

About the Role

As a Senior QA Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of our data and ESG driven projects, focusing on data engineering, regulatory reporting, and UI testing. You’ll lead a small team of QAs, driving day-to-day progress, resolving issues, and ensuring effective sprint planning—all while staying 90% hands-on.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Championing test automation to embed an ‘automate first’ approach.
• Creating, adapting, and executing reusable test scripts for comprehensive coverage of business requirements and regression testing.
• Investigating issues, raising defects, and collaborating with developers and BAs to ensure timely resolution.
• Reviewing Business Requirements/User Stories to ensure clarity and testability.
• Providing accurate updates, reporting, and escalation to achieve the best outcomes.

Experience sought

• Proven experience as a QA Analyst in Asset Management or a similar investment environment.
• Expertise in data transformation/ETL technologies and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong skills in UI testing, PowerBI testing, and SQL.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks for Datawarehouse and UI environments.
• A solid understanding of Agile methodologies and test planning/estimation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage defects through to resolution.
