Head of Construction — Lead Our Flagship Premium New-Build Project in Kent

Are you an A-player construction professional ready to take real ownership and make a tangible impact? Join Finsdale Ltd as Head of Construction, leading delivery of our flagship high-value new-build site and helping shape the future of our growing premium building business.

About the Role

Your initial responsibility will be the end-to-end management of a large, high-value new-build project in Kent — such as a multi-unit apartment block or a substantial bespoke home. During delivery of this and a second nearby new-build project, it’s very much all hands on deck — this role will be site-based initially, working closely with our Directors, including Gary who will also be active on another large site locally.

As we scale and increase our project portfolio with your support, we anticipate both roles evolving into more hybrid, strategic positions, allowing greater focus on business leadership, systems, and growth planning. For the right person, there’s clear opportunity to shape your role as the company progresses. There’s no red tape here, just real potential for future progress and reward.

You’ll represent Finsdale in meetings with clients, consultants, and partners. While Kent is your initial focus, travel across Sussex and the South-East will be expected as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering larger building projects, such as apartment blocks, bespoke homes, or commercial developments
  • A proactive, self-driven leader who takes ownership and keeps projects moving without hand-holding
  • Motivated problem solver who energises teams and drives results even under pressure
  • Commitment to premium standards with a strong track record of delivering exceptional quality and finish
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communicator, confident in professional emails, reporting, and construction documentation; proficient in Excel and project management software
  • Experienced in leading site meetings and liaising directly with directors, clients, and trades
  • Ambition to grow with the company, take accountability, and help build and lead a high-performing team
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across Kent, Sussex, and the South-East
  • A hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment working closely with Directors

What’s on Offer

  • We offer a competitive salary tailored to each candidate’s experience, potential, and the value they can deliver
  • This is a key leadership role with significant growth potential as our business expands
  • Opportunity to work closely with company Directors and help shape the future of the business
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your input and leadership truly matter
  • The chance to make your mark on multiple large, premium projects as the company grows
