We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our Warehousing team at our Ultrapharm site as part of the Finsbury Food Group. The Stock Controller will help keep our goods moving and our operations running smoothly. From receiving and storing raw materials to dispatching finished products, you’ll play a key role in making sure everything gets where it needs to go—safely, efficiently, and accurately. Ultrapharm is a dedicated Gluten Free Bakery specialising in only Gluten Free Product since 1993. The Company’s unique approach to craft and baking creates premium gluten‑free products with the flavour and taste of traditional bread. If you have special dietary need or nutritional preferences, then our Pontypool bakery has you covered. Our products range from artisanal bread to our award‑winning Hot cross buns and Mince pies for major retailers such as M&S and Waitrose.

This is what you’ll actually do:
- Accurately receive, store, pick, and dispatch stock according to order requirements
- Safely load/unload vehicles and secure goods appropriately for transport
- Complete all relevant paperwork and labels, including ASNs, SSCCs, delivery notes, and traceability tags
- Coordinate with internal teams to maintain workflow and resolve stock queries
- Maintain accurate stock rotation using FEFO principles and support stock checks
- Follow Health & Safety, food safety, and GMP standards at all times
- Report any safety or quality issues promptly and participate in toolbox talks and safety audits
- Support continuous improvement and contribute to reducing waste and errors
- Act as a flexible team member, assisting where needed across warehouse and logistics functions
Ideally this is you:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Familiarity with warehouse systems such as SAP or M3
- Competent with basic computer tasks and confident with paperwork
- Valid UK driving licence
- Forklift licence (counterbalance essential, reach desirable) if applicable
- Comfortable with manual handling up to 25kg (training provided)
- Positive and proactive with a “can‑do” attitude
- Flexible and dependable—always focused on safe and efficient operations
- Committed to continuous improvement and quality standards
- A team player who takes ownership and accountability in their role
- Calm under pressure and keen to learn and grow
