We have a new opportunity for an Advanced Team Member (ATM) within our Manufacturing team in our Pontypool site as part of the Finsbury Food Group. As a ATM, you will manage and support the operational delivery of one or more manufacturing lines, ensuring safety, quality, output, and compliance targets are met. You will provide front line leadership, support team members, coordinate activities, and ensure consistent adherence to standards and SOPs. The role also includes ASH (Absence, Sickness & Holiday) support as required.
Ultrapharm is a dedicated Gluten Free Bakery specialising in only Gluten Free Product since 1993. The Company’s unique approach to craft and baking creates premium gluten-free products with the flavour and taste of traditional bread. Our Products range from artisanal bread to our award-winning Hot cross buns and Mince pies for Major Retailers such as M&S and Waitrose.

To be successful, you will be:
- Lead, support, and motivate your line team to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production across assigned lines.
- Provide hands-on guidance, coaching, and development for team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise line performance and reduce waste.
- Communicate effectively with the team and escalate issues appropriately.
This is what you’ll actually do:
- Take responsibility for assigned line(s), maintaining production, quality, and safety standards.
- Support line setup, changeovers, and product preparation with practical equipment knowledge.
- Monitor run rates, downtime, and efficiency, taking corrective actions as required.
- Maintain accurate line documentation, compliance paperwork, and quality records.
- Uphold GMP, housekeeping, and “clean as you go” standards.
- Act as first point of escalation for operational, safety, or people concerns.
- Contribute to line-based problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideally, this is you:
- Experienced working on multiple production lines in a food manufacturing environment.
- Competent in leading small teams and providing clear guidance.
- Knowledgeable in food safety, quality systems (HACCP, GMP), and regulatory compliance.
- Mechanically minded with basic line setup and fault resolution skills.
- IT literate – comfortable using Excel, Word, and operational systems.
- Approachable, reliable, hands-on, and adaptable to a changing environment.
- Committed to learning all lines and developing team capability.
- Communicates clearly, supports colleagues, and takes pride in line performance.
Grade G or above in English & Maths GCSE level or equivalent.
