We have an exciting opportunity for Production Operatives to join our Operations Team working on Line 1 in Hamilton. Finsbury Food Group is a leading specialty bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long-term relationships with major multiple retailers and the foodservice channel. From the bread for your morning toast to celebration cakes and sweet treats, our bakeries combine tradition with innovation to deliver high‑quality products enjoyed across the UK.

You will work as part of a fast‑paced production team, supporting the baking, decorating, and packing of cake products to meet production targets. This is a hands‑on role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to quality and safety. It is a great opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience as part of a growing organization, with training and development opportunities to build your skills. It is an ideal entry‑level role for school leavers or those starting their career.

This is what you’ll actually do!

  • Weigh ingredients and prepare batches in line with approved recipes and methods, ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Operate mixers and follow correct mixing techniques, as well as carry out general production duties across the line.
  • Pack products at the speed of the production line, ensuring items are correctly picked, boxed, labelled, and palletised.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following a "clean as you go" approach.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures and PPE use.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and contribute to quality assurance by following company standards.
  • Work closely with the team to resolve performance or product quality issues, communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Take part in training activities and build knowledge of the production process to support flexible working across the line.
  • Carry out additional duties in line with business needs.
