We have an opportunity for a NPD Project Coordinator to join our Development team in Sheffield.
Finsbury Food Group is a leading specialty bakery manufacturer. The NPD Project Coordinator will assist in the end to end processes for all NPD, EPD and pack changes. They will be ensuring all the development projects are managed correctly, within the required timelines and communicated effectively to the wider FFG teams whilst also supporting the development teams in delivering any development activity successfully across both our Sheffield and Manchester bakeries.
This is a fast paced role, where the successful candidate will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food related subject. They must be a team player with good interpersonal and strong communication skills, with excellent planning, organised & written skills.
This role is based in Sheffield, however a willingness to travel is required as the project coordinator may occasionally visit our other sites.

Responsibilities
This is what you’ll actually do!
The NPD Project Coordinator will manage all aspects of the Point 74 gate process, NPD tracker & Power BI reporting system. Understanding the timelines for different projects and communicating this effectively with all departments to ensure the projects move at pace. They will be able to plan and organises their own workload following Development Manager guidance of required tasks for completion, whilst identifying opportunities to improve, using problem solving approach.
They may be asked to assist in a number of different tasks including assisting with technical handovers, benchmarking competitor products, ingredient requests, trend analysis, customer presentations, organoleptic testing and sending new products away for nutritional/shelf life testing.
Qualifications
- Educated to graduate standard – Ideally in food related subject
- Team player and good interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, excellent planning, organised & written skills
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, prioritise own workload & deadlines
- Project management capability & proven track record of managing projects & gate stages
- Creative thinker.
- Proactive individual with good self-motivational skills
- Experience & knowledge and strong understanding of food & the food environment
- Computer literate – computer skills and knowledge of word and excel systems
- Basic or above Food hygiene
