We have a new opportunity for a Production Operative within our Production Team who would work at Kara Foodservice in Manchester.
About the Company
Finsbury Food Group is a leading specialty bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long‑term relationships with major multiple retailers and the foodservice channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and carry out production tasks including mixing, checking weighing, packing, and palletising.
- Place finished products into the freezer and handle frozen goods safely.
- Work in environments where temperatures can be extreme (hot bakery areas and cold storage) and perform manual tasks including lifting and repetitive movement.
- Complete routine quality checks and follow all SOPs while maintaining excellent hygiene and GMP standards across the production area.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping to ensure a safe and clean working environment.
- Strictly adhere to health and safety practices, promoting safe behaviours and aiming for zero accidents.
- Actively take part in training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Carry out any additional duties as required to support production needs and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Ideal Candidate
- A strong work ethic with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Reliability, excellent time‑keeping, and the commitment to show up consistently for your shifts.
- Ability to carry out manual, repetitive tasks safely and effectively.
- Experience in food production or manufacturing (preferred).
- Awareness of health & safety and food safety requirements.
