Ultrapharm is a dedicated Gluten Free Bakery specialising in only Gluten Free Product since 1993. The Company’s unique approach to craft and baking creates premium gluten-free products with the flavour and taste of traditional bread.

To be successful in this role, you will lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and logistics teams to achieve operational KPIs while ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, food safety (BRC/HACCP), GMP, and security standards. You will manage all warehouse processes efficiently—from inbound through dispatch—maintaining strong inventory accuracy and operational control. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and reduce waste, communicating effectively with internal teams and serving as the key escalation point for operational issues on site.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the operational performance of the warehouse and on-site logistics.
  • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and accountability for people, processes, and results.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across all functions—including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, inventory, and workplace standards.
  • Deliver on key metrics (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, People, and Sustainability), acting as the senior operational leader on site.
  • Champion continuous improvement and uphold high standards of operational excellence at all times.
  • Take full accountability for warehouse and logistics operations across all shifts, leading staffing, rota planning, performance management, coaching, and succession development.
  • Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, audits, and regulatory standards, while identifying process bottlenecks and implementing improvements that optimise performance.
  • Work closely with Quality, Technical, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to maintain seamless end-to-end operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and champion a strong, safety-first culture across the site.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally in FMCG or food distribution.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS), transport planning, and operational KPIs.
  • Experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering site-wide operational performance.
  • Competent in MS Office, ERP systems, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledgeable in Health & Safety, food safety, and GMP compliance.
  • Skilled in continuous improvement, Lean, CI, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Values-driven, visible leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexible, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.
