We are now recruiting for a Site Excellence Lead to join our team at our Lightbody site in Hamilton. 135 years of craft baking skills lie behind the quality of the special branded cakes, sweet snacks and slices we produce in Hamilton and 55 million products are produced each year.
To be successful in this role you will be a confident and collaborative leader who motivates others through a clear vision and strong engagement. As a strategic thinker with robust analytical skills, you’ll be committed to data-driven decision-making, balancing the demands of short-term performance with the pursuit of long-term improvement goals.
Are you passionate about driving change, unlocking potential, and making processes better every day? We’re looking for a proactive Excellence Lead to champion continuous improvement and lead site-wide Operational Excellence initiatives across our manufacturing and support functions.
In This Role, You’ll
- Deliver Lean and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) training to build in-house capability.
- Lead cross-functional CI projects that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
- Embed a high-performance culture that empowers faster, smarter decision-making.
- Support Asset Care (TPM) alongside Engineering and Operations.
- Facilitate problem-solving workshops and share best practice across the Finsbury Food Group.
- Drive improvements across safety, quality, service, cost, and people metrics.
Essential
- Experience in continuous/process improvement in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering change initiatives.
- Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Flexibility to travel between sites.
Desirable
- CI experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Knowledge of Lean tools, Six Sigma, or SPC techniques.
- Familiarity with bakery or food production processes.
- Degree/HND in Food Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
