We are now recruiting for a Site Excellence Lead to join our team at our Lightbody site in Hamilton. 135 years of craft baking skills lie behind the quality of the special branded cakes, sweet snacks and slices we produce in Hamilton and 55 million products are produced each year. Lightbodys is the UKs largest supplier of celebration cakes to UK retailers, with Disney, Mars, Universal and Thorntons all within the portfolio of branded cakes made under licence. We also make a variety of supermarkets well-loved own-label cakes and in-store bakery bites.

In This Role

  • Deliver Lean and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) training to build in-house capability.
  • Lead cross-functional CI projects that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
  • Embed a high-performance culture that empowers faster, smarter decision-making.
  • Support Asset Care (TPM) alongside Engineering and Operations.
  • Facilitate problem-solving workshops and share best practice across the Finsbury Food Group.
  • Drive improvements across safety, quality, service, cost, and people metrics.

Youll work closely with teams across the site, acting as a change agent and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard. Most importantly, youll inspire others to embrace continuous improvement every day.

What Were Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in continuous/process improvement in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering change initiatives.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Flexibility to travel between sites.

Desirable

  • CI experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools, Six Sigma, or SPC techniques.
  • Familiarity with bakery or food production processes.
  • Degree/HND in Food Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
