Shift: Night Shift 18:00PM – 06:00AM following a 4 on 4 off rotation

We have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Operative to join our team at Fletcher’s Bakery, working a four on, four off rolling shift pattern. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring finished products are received, stored, and despatched accurately and efficiently. Working as part of a close-knit team, you’ll help maintain high standards of safety, quality, and hygiene while supporting the smooth running of the despatch operation.
This is what you’ll actually do!
- Support the day-to-day movement of finished goods through the warehouse, helping the team manage high volumes of stock and ensure customer orders are assembled and dispatched correctly.
- Receive and handle stock, assemble orders, and load vehicles following the correct loading procedures.
- Help maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock checks and rotation, ensuring products are stored correctly and traceability is maintained.
- Follow standard operating procedures and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety, food safety, and GMP standards while supporting departmental safety and quality compliance.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets and maximise outputs.

- Experience working in a warehouse, despatch, or manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with reliability and commitment
- Numerate with good attention to detail
- Food hygiene awareness (desirable)
- Manual handling experience (desirable)
- FLT or PPT licences (desirable but not essential)
- Pride in completing tasks to a high standard from start to finish
