This is what you’ll actually do! As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production equipment and site services, ensuring the bakery continues to operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to breakdowns, complete corrective maintenance activities and support installation and improvement projects across the site. Working both independently and collaboratively, you'll diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimise disruption to production.
A key part of the role will be supporting the bakery's performance by reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability. You'll use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to quickly respond to issues while contributing to longer-term continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll be responsible for accurately recording maintenance activities through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring work orders, materials and labour are captured correctly. You'll also support the development of maintenance standards, equipment performance monitoring and engineering best practice across the site.
Working closely with Operations and Technical teams, you'll help drive a proactive maintenance culture, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting the site's ambitious growth plans.
Success in this role will be measured through:

- Qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer with recognised engineering qualifications.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing desirable).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- IT literate with experience using maintenance management systems.
- IPAF qualification and/or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable but not essential.
