Shift: Monday‑Friday. Location: Hamilton/Hybrid.

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Partner to join our People Team at the Hamilton site as part of ‘Finsbury Food Group’. Lightbody’s is the UK’s largest supplier of celebration cakes to UK retailers, with a 135‑year legacy of craft baking and 55 million products produced each year. We also make supermarkets’ own‑label cakes and in‑store bakery bites.

What you’ll actually do:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders to align people strategies with business goals.
  • Act as a proactive advisor across the employee lifecycle, supporting performance, development, and engagement.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, organisational design, and change initiatives.
  • Use data and insight to identify trends and opportunities to improve team effectiveness and foster a high‑performing, inclusive culture.
  • Support the business across all aspects of HR, including best practice, employment legislation, employee relations, recruitment, manager coaching, employee engagement, and people‑focused projects at both site and group level.
  • Work closely with the Site Leadership Team and operational functions to embed culture and values, enabling strong performance within a positive and motivating environment.
  • Influence and constructively challenge stakeholders to deliver the people agenda and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage employee relations casework, applying a solid understanding of UK employment law and strong organisational skills.

Ideal qualifications:

  • CIPD qualified.
  • Proven HR generalist / people partnering experience, ideally in a medium/large unionised manufacturing environment.
  • Experience across key HR disciplines: Organisation Design, Resourcing.
