This is what you’ll actually do!In this role, you will maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping by following a clean-as-you-go approach across production areas.
You will carry out cleaning and sanitation activities in line with food safety policies, safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations, and ensure all hygiene records and documentation are completed accurately.
You will follow hygiene schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure equipment and production areas are cleaned and ready for the next production run, working to tight deadlines during planned shutdowns.
Depending on your skills and training, you may also be involved in stripping down machinery for deep cleaning.
You will help maintain effective pest control measures, complete tasks using the CMMS system, and always follow safe systems of work by adhering to health and safety procedures and wearing the appropriate PPE.
Maintaining exceptional hygiene standards will be a key part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
You will promote safe working practices, support the goal of zero accidents, and carry out any additional duties required to support production and contribute to the success of the team.
