Finsbury Food Group is a market leading baking manufacturer with a turnover of £410+ million. They constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long-term relationships with major multiple retailers and the foodservice channel, including Tesco, Costa, and Morrisons. We make a large percentage of the UK's sharing cakes from retailer own brands cakes, tray bakes through to party cakes like Caterpillar cakes. Location: Graduates will take part in a 12-month rotational program across various factory locations, which will require relocation. The scheme will begin in either Sheffield or Glasgow, with subsequent placements at key sites including Cardiff, Sheffield, and Glasgow.

What Will You Be Doing?

Our 3-year Finance Graduate programme comprises of 3 placements lasting 12 months each, across the Finance function. The Finance function is there to support every step of the way across roles such as Cost Accounting, Commercial Finance, Operational Finance and/or Financial Accounting. The scheme will ensure you gain a well-rounded and broad experience to complement your studies (CIMA) as we are a CIMA Premier Partner. This is a fast-paced working environment where you will gain exposure across all areas of the business and matrix leadership. On completion of the graduate scheme, you will find a role which suits your interests as a qualified finance professional.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Weekly and monthly reporting of sales and procurement performance
  • Updating customer, technical and sales trackers
  • Maintaining sales prices list approvals
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly sales and purchasing journals
  • Lead product costing process engaging cross functionally with development, production and commercial teams
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Reconciliation of purchasing balance sheet accruals

What Are We Looking For?

  • A 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant degree discipline
  • A strong desire to attain a professional Finance qualification e.g. CIMA
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • A proven interest in baking or manufacturing would be a bonus
  • Comfortable with relocating to Sheffield, Cardiff and Glasgow throughout the programme
