Shift: Monday – Friday, Dayshift / Backshift 2-week rotation

We have an opportunity for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering Team in our Coatbridge site as part of the Finsbury Food Group. Finsbury Food Group is a leading specialty bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long‑term relationships within the foodservice channel. Finsbury offers a wide range of bakery products and is a leading frozen supplier into the Foodservice sector.

To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical expertise, ideally with experience in the food manufacturing industry. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and be confident working both independently and as part of a team.

This is what you’ll actually do!

In this role, you’ll be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production equipment. You’ll apply your electrical and mechanical expertise to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime, supporting production to operate as efficiently as possible. Your day‑to‑day work will include fault finding, repairs, and identifying root causes of breakdowns, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed to a high standard. You’ll record all work carried out, including duration, root cause, and materials used, through the CMMS system (Mainsaver). You will ensure full compliance with Food Safety, Health.
