We have an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a ‘Production Scheduler’ at our Nicholas & Harris site, part of the Finsbury Food Group. With over 180 years of heritage in craft baking methods, Nicholas & Harris produces artisanal, organic, and speciality breads, serving to major retailers across the UK.

This is what you’ll actually do!
As a Production Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for producing and publishing efficient production plans that balance operational efficiency with meeting customer demands. You’ll manage over 100 SKUs, working closely with manufacturing, NPD, Hygiene, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless production processes.
In this role, you’ll oversee the completion, distribution, and communication of daily production schedules and shift plans to the manufacturing team. You’ll collaborate with various departments to incorporate time for regular maintenance, deep cleaning, and scheduled downtime while ensuring customer service levels remain a priority. By grouping products containing allergens and optimizing capacity, you’ll maximize production output efficiently. You’ll also monitor customer orders, review schedules, and promptly communicate or address any changes in stock levels.
Additionally, you’ll maintain finished goods inventory to ensure service levels exceed 98.5%, while minimizing waste from short product shelf life. Regular reporting and data analysis on planning parameters, such as yield and efficiency, will be essential in driving continuous improvement. You’ll also play a key role in seasonal planning, including Easter and Christmas, providing insights and solutions to ensure operational success.
