We are seeking a confident member to join our front of house team. Fins is a vibrant, fast-paced, lively beach cafe. After winning the 2023 and 2025 Red Funnel Café of the Year award, we have seen our business grow, which has created an exciting new job opportunity. We are looking for an experienced front of house member to join our team. This person is someone who thrives in a fast-paced beach cafe environment, who is friendly, calm, and passionate about quality customer service.
You will need to have good judgement skills, a fantastic memory, and be fast in prioritising what's important at any given moment while fostering a welcoming environment for guests. Attention to detail, consistency, leadership, clear-mindedness, and efficiency will be highly admirable assets as well. This role is versatile and may include working on our smoothie bowl section as well as serving front of house.
Tasks that will be expected from you:
- Making coffee with latte art at a fast pace
- Adding value and generating sales through up-selling
- Making smoothies/smoothie bowls
- Unpacking deliveries
- Opening and closing of Cafe
- Cleaning and making sure that the working environment is presented well at all times
- Able to communicate well with staff and manager
- Excellent coffee making
- Replenishing and rotating stock
- Money handling
- Positive outlook + confidence
- Must be able to work weekends
