Our client is a fast-growing company, headquartered in London with projects across the UK. To support continued growth, we are helping them hire an interim role to support maternity cover on an initial 9 month contract. They are looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant to own group reporting and month-end, strengthen controls, and keep the engine room of finance running in a fast-growth environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close across entities; deliver sharp management accounts and variance insights.
- Be the technical accounting lead (UK GAAP/FRS102) and support year-end + advisers.
- Co-run audits end-to-end, keeping timelines tight and queries low.
- Oversee AP, collections, and cash protection with solid processes.
- Act as second authoriser on payments and own spend/expense controls.
- Support capex, fixed assets, and cash-flow forecasting for growth projects.
- Help drive budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Manage and develop a Finance Assistant.
- Automate/improve reporting and close processes as we scale.
Key criteria:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/CA).
- Practice trained.
- Able to start a new role in January 2026.
