Financial Controller (Permanent or Temp-to-Perm)

London | Hybrid/Office-based

Our client is a fast‑growing renewable energy business expanding organically and through acquisition. They are looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller to support scale‑up and strengthen financial control across the group. The role is evenly split across management accounts, stats under FRS102, reporting and tax, and suits someone confident working with large volumes of complex data.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and produce timely, accurate management accounts with clear analysis.
• Deliver statutory accounts under FRS102.
• Oversee UK tax compliance (VAT, corporation tax, capital allowances) and support advisers.
• Improve reporting, controls, and data processes as the business grows.

About you

• Experience in renewables preferred.
• Strong management accounts and reporting background in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.
• Comfortable handling complex datasets and turning them into insight.
• Solid UK tax/compliance knowledge and advanced Excel/system skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work at pace in a scaling business.
