Our client is a small, but growing challenger audit and accounting firm that have been in operation for 5 years. They have developed a strong working culture with high engagement at all levels of seniority alongside deep, influential relationships with their already enviable client base.

To support their continued growth, they are looking to hire an Audit Senior to join and take ownership of audits from planning to completion. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Preparation of audit planning memoranda, work programmes, team briefing agendas and budgets for jobs;
- Thorough understanding of client’s business environment to review and assess controls and proactively identify key risk areas at planning;
- Ensure work is appropriately delegated amongst the team and encourages team to take accountability and deliver on their assignments;
- Communicates progress and works to meet internal deadlines for job delivery;
- Show a commitment to continuous improvement in one’s own personal development and identifies own training needs;
- Seeks out feedback on close of jobs and proactively implements development points for the betterment of future jobs;
- Works closely with management to develop ongoing effective relationships with clients;
- Management of group audit engagements including liaising with component auditors and overseas subsidiary functions;
- Preparing budgets and audit fee proposals and careful monitoring of team’s time against budget with proactive communication on progress and overruns.
Ideal experience/skills:
- At least 2 years accounting practice experience;
- ACA/ACCA part qualified or qualified;
- Strong time management and attention to detail skills
- Commercially minded, high level of flexibility, professionalism, and confidence
