Our client is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join their Renewable Energy investment team. The successful candidate will support the assessment, execution and management of investments across renewable power and energy transition assets, including solar and related infrastructure opportunities.
The role offers exposure to complex transactions, project finance structures, asset management and strategic investment decisions within a fast-paced global investment platform.
Financial Analysis & Modelling- Build and maintain detailed financial models for renewable energy projects and portfolios
- Conduct valuation analysis including DCF, IRR, NPV and sensitivity analysis
- Support project financing and capital structure optimisation
- Analyse operating performance, forecasting assumptions and investment returns
- Assist in the assessment and execution of acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and financing transactions
- Participate in due diligence processes, including review of commercial, technical, legal and regulatory materials
- Prepare investment committee papers and presentation materials
- Monitor renewable energy markets, regulatory developments and competitive dynamics
- Analyse power markets, commodity trends and policy impacts affecting investment opportunities
- Support ongoing monitoring of portfolio company and asset performance
- Track operational KPIs, budget performance and financial results
- Assist with refinancing initiatives, optimisation strategies and asset-level reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline
~2–5 years’ experience in investment banking, infrastructure investing, private equity, project finance or renewable energy
~ Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
~ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
~ Understanding of renewable energy markets and project finance concepts preferred
~ Experience with project finance structures, PPAs or infrastructure valuation
Knowledge of Python, SQL or data analytics tools would be advantageous.
