A small, internationally structured listed group is seeking a hands‐on finance professional to support day‐to‐day accounting operations across multiple entities. The role suits someone comfortable operating in a lean finance function, with broad exposure across transactional accounting, month‐end close, and treasury support. This position is fully remote, with very occasional travel to London.
Key Responsibilities
- Group Accounting
- Prepare and post accounting transactions for multiple group entities
- Raise sales invoices, including time‐based charges and inter‐company recharges
- Maintain accruals and prepayments, including monthly postings
- Prepare and post journals
- Support and maintain the month‐end close process
- Ensure integrity of the general ledger, including intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and P&L reconciliations
- Perform revaluations as required
- Prepare variance analysis to support management reporting
- Accounts Payable
- Process and record supplier invoices and employee expenses (circa 40 per month)
- Coordinate supplier onboarding with relevant internal approvers
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries
- Prepare supplier payment runs for review and approval
- Treasury & Online Banking
- Set up supplier and payment instructions in line with agreed controls
- Prepare inter‐account and foreign currency transfers
- Coordinate payment approvals with designated signatories
- Provide regular bank balance reporting
- Cash & Reconciliations
- Record bank transactions in the accounting system
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Maintain aged creditor reconciliations
- Reconcile foreign exchange transactions
- Ad Hoc & Management Support
- Provide ad‐hoc support to the Group CFO and senior finance leadership as required
Candidate Profile
- Strong hands‐on accounting background in a multi‐entity environment
- Comfortable working independently in a small finance team
- Good understanding of month‐end close, reconciliations, and controls
- Confident working with online banking platforms and multiple currencies
- Organised, detail‐oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
