Finrox is partnering with an international business to recruit a Group Tax Accountant.
This opportunity would suit a newly or recently qualified tax professional looking to make their first move from practice into industry, or someone with existing in-house experience seeking broader exposure.
Working closely with colleagues across tax and finance, you will support the group’s tax compliance and reporting activities and contribute to wider tax projects.
The role offers the opportunity to build on your technical experience and develop your understanding of tax within an international business.
Key responsibilities
- Support corporate tax compliance, including preparing tax computations, returns and supporting information for external advisers.
- Assist with group tax reporting, including current and deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures for the financial statements.
- Work with finance teams to gather and review information, helping ensure tax reporting is accurate and deadlines are met.
- Assist with tax payment calculations and forecasting.
- Support responses to queries from external advisers, auditors and tax authorities.
- Contribute to wider tax projects and improvements to tax processes, documentation and controls.
About you
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, or equivalent.
- Experience in corporate tax gained within an accountancy practice or an in-house tax team.
- A sound understanding of corporate tax compliance, with exposure to tax accounting and reporting advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and confidence working with Excel.
- Able to manage competing deadlines and communicate clearly with colleagues and external advisers.
- Interested in developing a broad in-house tax career.
Experience working with international businesses or groups would be useful, although candidates with a strong corporate tax foundation are encouraged to apply.
